USES OF OPERATING SYSTEM

The operating system helps in the proper utilization of computer resources like hardware, software and data. The operating system is the government. It cannot perform anything useful all by itself. It simply provides an environment so that all the other programs can perform useful work.  A computer system has many resources that can be used to solve a problem. CPU time, memory space, file storage space, input or output devices and so on. The OS acts as the manager of these resources and allocates them to specific programs and users as necessary. The operating system dell notebook battery must decide which requests are essential resources to operate the computer system efficiently and fairly. Then there is also the control program which controls the execution of user programs to prevent errors and improper use it in computer. It controls multimedia programming, multi processing and time sharing module. The Windows OS from Microsoft is not platform independent but it is more commonly used because of its ease of use. Linux solves this problem.
